EM Strip

EM Strip, often referred to as “security tags” or “security strips,” are devices commonly used in libraries to prevent theft and unauthorized removal of library materials, such as books and magazines.

They are part of the overall security system that helps maintain the integrity of the library’s collection while ensuring a pleasant experience for library patrons. If a patron inadvertently walks out with a book that hasn’t been properly checked out, the alarm serves as a reminder to return or check out the item.
